Purchasing new boxes is a waste as they are just going to be used to transfer your things from one location to another. Getting used moving boxes would be a better option. The nearby supermarket would be an excellent place to start your search. Supermarkets usually receive most of their merchandise in boxes which are thrown away after the goods are unpacked. You can make arrangements with the management of the store or simply approach the delivery guys who will be doing the loading and unpacking.
Apart from supermarkets, you can also consider trying your luck at electrical goods stores. They might have boxes from display or damaged items.
