The Panasonic TX-L37V10 – A First Review

Panasonic are at the top of their game once more with their latest 37″ TV the Panasonic TX-L37V10. It’s a HD ready TV that encompasses everything a modern day TV should have and more whilst still providing the same high level of manufacture that has seen Panasonic stay at the top of the electrical product market.

Despite not being having been on general sale for that long the Viera already has 5 awards to its name including What video and Hi-Def TV’s best buy and best 37″ TV of the year. It has received several high rating such as techradar.com’s 5 star rating.

HD viewing is not an issue with this TV as its HD ready. Not only that but it comes with a built in digital tuner and a freesat tuner as standard. The screen size is 37″ (94cm) and has a 16:9 wide aspect ratio. It has a 178 degree viewing angle ensuring anybody can see the picture regardless of where they are in the room.

With a refresh rate of 100Hz thanks to the intelligent frame creation unit the Panasonic TX-L37V10 TV displays action shots with unprecedented flicker free glory. Whilst your picture will be flicker free the motion focus technology ensures a sharper edge and improved contrast comparison enhances the overall quality of the image.

The TV boasts a 24p Playback and 24p Smooth film feature which ensures your HD film experience is at its very best. Its deep colour panel ensures that you are able to distinguish between even the darkest of blacks.

The sound that is produced is of the highest quality outputted by 2 1-way speakers operating at 20W. For those without the benefit of a home cinema system, the Panasonic incorporates V-Audio ProSurround in the Panasonic TX-L37V10 which mimics the effects of 5. 1 surround sound to good effect. There is also the option of utilising the Dolby digital plus connection for those of you with 5. 1.

As for the connectivity of the TV it comes with the standard scart, RCA and S-video connections but also a PC input, 4 HDMI connections and a LAN connection. Think I made a mistake on that last one? Well I haven’t the Viera comes with its own LAN connection and is capable of surfing the net at will. Not bad for a television eh?

The Panasonic TX-L37V10 has built in codec’s that allow the playback of DivX media so there is no need for time consuming media conversions. Add to this a dedicated Game mode ensuring the best possible game play is achieved thanks to auto detection features. This TV does not seem to disappoint. If you’re playing your game and have got stuck don’t panic you can open up multiple windows and search online for a walk through guide. Easy!

To compliment the picture viewer the Panasonic Viera TX-L37V10 TV can be wall mounted or placed on a stand. My recommendation is to go for the wall mount as this elegant TV should take centre piece in room. Not only is it a TV when your vegging out but when you have guests it can become the focal point of conversation whilst displaying photos of your loved ones or just yourself!

Prices for the Panasonic TX-L37V10 are around 700 pounds. And thrown in with that a 5 year warranty should ever the unthinkable happen. It’s no wonder that this TV is a very sought after piece of kit.
