Viewing Massage Chairs At The Mall

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Perhaps you have been strolling around the mall have seen massage chairs on display. Many people are turning massage chairs to take a break from walking around the mall and carrying heavy shopping bags. So when you see a massage chair in a mall, there is normally somebody in. They are probably fully reclined and have a smile on their face. Most of the time there is a line, but every once in a while you may find one empty. This is your chance to sit down and try a massage chair for yourself.

Before somebody takes your seat, go over and sit down at massage chair right now. Take the weight off your feet and relax in the plush and comfortable environment. The massage chair should feel relaxing and inviting to sit in.

Now you want to find the remote control of the massage chair. It is usually located in a cradle which is attached to the side of the massage chair. The remote will normally have an LCD screen and many function buttons. Find an automatic massage program and select that to begin your relaxation.

You want to get comfortable in the massage chair, so find the recline button. Recliner chair all the way back and raise the leg rest. Find the position that is comfortable for you before selecting the massage program.

I let the massage chair work me over. I am squirming left and right as the massage starts to work its magic on my body. I fight the massage chair a little bit at first. I tense up which defeats the whole purpose of the massage. Now, I relax and let it start to relieve the tension.

Sometimes, when you first start getting a massage, you will notice that you tense up. You may be a little sensitive when different parts of your body are touched. This is a normal reaction until you can begin to relax.

The massage given by the massage chair is very invigorating. It has good penetration and is loosening up some of the bigger muscles of my back. I am surprised at the amount of activity going on in the massage chair. There are many parts of my body receiving treatment at once.

I notice as the massage rollers go up to my shoulder area that I start to flinch. I have a particular area that seems to be more tense than others. Every time the roller passes their, I squirm away from it. I become conscious of this and now I want the massage chair to relieve it.

One way to get rid of a certain area of tightness is to focus the massage on that area. Most massage chairs come with manual massage controls. You can select a manual technique and also pinpoint the area of coverage.

I now try to better pinpoint the massage on one of my trouble spots. This area is tight. I flinched each time the massage rollers pass. I know I need relief. I change to a manual technique and select kneading. I use the up arrows until I place the roller right over my trouble spot. I fight at first, but the massage chair wins and I win with it.

If you did not in your shoulder then try locating the massage rollers exactly on the spot of tension. Use a slow kneading massage to gently penetrate that area. You will feel the tightness of the muscle which may cause slight discomfort. Let the roller stretch the tight muscle until it is fully relieved.

I open my eyes and I see a lot of people watching me and waiting their turn for the massage chair. I must have given them a good show because they were all smiling and snickering. But, I am the one with the biggest smile from the effective massage of this wonderful massage chair.

You really need Try A Massage Chair. Get the amazing convenience of massage treatments on demand. Massage Chairs! They come with many therapeutic features in addition to the most effective massage styles. See how a massage chair can enhance your life.

Review About The Omega M2 Orion Massage Chair

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

For a product reviews to be effective, it should cover the salient aspects of the purchase. This helps buyers to better know their options. We created a structured approach using 5 categories. Each category can earn 0 to 20 points. The categories we rate are as follows: Warranty & Customer Service, Comfort/Ergonomics, Ease of Use, Features and Massage Therapy. We then add up the total to give an overall rating. In this massage chair review we analyze the M-2 Orion Massage Chair from Omega Massage. This entry level lounger is in the price range of $1,500 and under.

Warranty & Customer Service: How well does the manufacturer protect the customer? This is what we cover with warranty and customer service. The warranty covers the massage chair and customer service is how well the product is supported once purchased. The M-2 Orion has 1 year on the frame, 6 months on parts, and 6 months labor and shipping for 6 months. This is one of the best warranty coverage for an entry level chair. Customer service from Omega is solid. They have quick turnaround and great technical competence. We give the M-2 Orion an 18 in Warranty & Customer.

Comfort & Ergonomics: Comfort and ergonomics helps with relaxation. In a massage chair the body should fit well in the chair. It should be comforting to the body. The Orion has a plush back rest cover and a large rectangular shoulder pillow. The back cover is good. The second pillow is too wide and perhaps too thin. The fit of the chair is otherwise comfortable. The curved armrests are very comfortable and the chair can be adjusted from 115 degrees to 170 degrees. Another plus is the leg rest. It is extendable an extra 4 inches. The paddle mechanism in the calf massager is effective and can be positioned for maximum effect. The manual levers are fairly intuitive in their position. Our rating in this category is 17.

Ease of Use: How easy and intuitive is the use of a given product is another important area. Products need to be designed with the user in mind. The M-2 Orion shiatsu massage has a pretty simple controller. Just push the main power and select the auto massage to enjoy a massage. The M-2 comes with manual controls for the backrest and the footrest. The backrest and footrest are attached to a manual piston. When released, it raises the footrest or raises the chair back. The M-2 does the heavy lifting for you. The remote has 3 automatic programs and 3 manual programs with 3 back courses. The remote also controls the calf massage, seat vibration and seat massage. Omega creates a chair with features of a higher end massage chair while still providing an easy to use recliner. Our rating in this category is 19.

Key Features: The key features of the Orion M-2 massage chair are the swaying massage technique and the seat massage. The Hawaiian or Swaying massage uses gentle flowing strokes to ease and elongate the back muscles. The Swaying massage starts to penetrate deeper into the muscles as it works up and down the spine. This is an effective massage to relax tight muscles. The seat massage has both vibration therapy and an eight massage head system. These rotary massage heads target the buttocks and thighs with a very invigorating massage. Add the vibration therapy and watch the aches and pains melt away from your buttocks and thighs. We give the M-2 Orion an 18 for key features.

Massage Therapy: Just how good is the massage therapy delivered by the massage chair? The M-2 comes with 3 automatic massages. These are timed massages of 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Select from 3 manual massages and select a region of your back with 3 back courses. The M2 has strong manual massages including Kneading, Swaying and Finger Press. The seat massage is very invigorating. It has eight rotary massage heads and a vibration system for the seat. The leg rest has a mechanical kneading system to soothe the legs. With the extendable leg rest, target your thighs, knees or calves. This is a very effective massage chair for its price category. This massage recliner earns an 18 for massage therapy.

The Omega M-2 Orion does very well in our evaluation. The total score for the M-2 Orion is a 90/100. We are impressed with the massage therapy for this price range. Omega has concentrated on getting the massage therapy effective and still hit the price point for an entry level massage chair. There is strong warrant protection for the consumer. The feature set of this chair makes for a versatile and invigorating massage lounger. This is the best value in its class. The M-2 Orion delivers an effective full body massage at a great price point.

Do You Have a Good Enough Reason to Exercise?

Monday, February 15th, 2010

You have heard them say… \”I cannot exercise,\” \”Exercising is hard…\” and many such excuses. As someone who has worked out all his life… and I am now 51 years old; I can tell you that if I did not work out all my life, I would not know what \”good health\” would feel like… I am convinced of this. I know when I don\’t exercise for a couple of weeks how I feel and I cannot imagine a person who has not worked out almost all his/her life must feel like. And consider that feeling okay…

You know what it is like… If you never smelled a rose and I tried to explain to you in words what a rose smells like… I just couldn\’t. The smell of the rose has to be experienced… It cannot be explained in words. So I cannot explain to a person who has never pushed their body to its limits; what it feels like to be in \”Great Shape.\”

I am hoping I got your interest so far. Now lets see if we can get to another insight about working out. People need \”Reasons\” to do things. We do everything because we have \”Reasons\” for doing everything. \”Reasons\” are the ultimate causes of our actions. We go to school for reasons, we get jobs for reasons, we marry for reasons.

So for all of those people who cannot exercise; listen up… I am first going to prove that the reason you cannot exercise is because you don\’t have a \”Good Enough\” reason to exercise… Here is the proof: If I came to your home every morning at 6:00AM and had a gun in my hand and I put the gun to one of your family members head and said to you \”If you don\’t get up now and exercise, I am going to pull the trigger,\” you would get up and exercise… there is no doubt about it… So lets get this thing understood… It is not that you \”Cannot\” exercise… It is that you don\’t have a big enough \”Reason\” to exercise…

So the questions become philosophical in nature. Is it possible to create a \”Big Reason\” to exercise? What are the \”Big reasons\” for those who diligently work out everyday? Most are not aware of their \”Reasons\” but they all have them. The trick is to create your own \”Big Reason\” to get your ass out of bed and exercise… And there is a way to do that…

Want to find out more about reasons to exercise, then visit Kurt Dorey\’s site on how to choose the best home exercise equipment for your needs.
